Nature Inside: A Dance & Film Project

Nature Inside is a participatory dance and film project explored and devised with children and young people from Great Ormond Street Hospital and Argyle Primary School, Camden.

Nature Inside is a project in partnership with imprint and GOSH Arts. It is a participatory dance and film project.

Through a series of creative workshops with the children and youth people at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Argyle Primary School, we gathered stories and memories of nature, and developed movement ideas together which informed a set of dance films filmed in different wild and natural locations.

The content of the films responded to the young people’s connections with wild spaces, interpreting their real and imagined experiences – and their movement vocabulary. We’re very proud of the films and activities that were created from these sessions, and we invite you to explore them on our adventure map.

Nature Inside was commissioned by GOSH Arts (the arts programme at Great Ormond Street Hospital) and is publicly funded by Arts Council England, with support from South Downs National Park Authority and South East Dance.

Nature Inside was created by the imaginations of the children and young people at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the imprint team: Anne Colvin, Matthew Bartram, Emily James-Farley, Kira Brown, Charlie Hendren, Anna Smith and Tom Cook.
